Registration is open for the Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education’s statewide Spring Conference, March 24 – 26, 2017 in La Honda, CA at YMCA Camp Jones Gulch.
Camp Jones Gulch, is located in La Honda, 50 miles south of San Francisco in the coastal range near Pescadero on many acres of woodland and open meadows. Jones Gulch and McCormick creeks run through the camp in giant stands of Redwoods and vibrant Douglas Fir with an abundance of hiking trails and opportunities to enjoy nature up close.
Attend to participate in:
- 60+ environmental education workshops
- keynote address by John Muir Laws: naturalist, artist, and primary author and editor of the interdisciplinary curriculum: Opening the World Through Nature Journaling and author of
The Laws Guide to Nature Drawing and Journaling.
- job fair
Registration includes the conference, 5 meals and lodging or camping. Day use rates also available.
